Make sure the camera is securely mounted on a stable surface to minimize movement. Wildlife cameras look straight ahead so if you want to record people, hang it at chest height. Is it legal to use wildlife cameras to observe animals?

In most cases, it is legal to use wildlife cameras for personal use, nature observation and hunting, as long as you follow the laws and regulations in your region. However, it may be illegal to use wildlife cameras for commercial purposes without proper permits. In your own garden/forest/home or estate then you may record anything you want. If you go on someone else's property, ask permission first.

Yes, in every garden. Whether in town or village or mainland, a huge number of special 'guests' come sniffing by. We therefore guarantee that you will have shots of beautiful animals within 24 hours.

How can I extend the battery life of my wildlife camera?

To extend battery life, consider buying a long-life wildlife camera and using power-saving settings. You can also use external battery packs or connect solar panels for long-term power. The lower the specifications the longer the battery will last. Normally, 8xAA batteries last several weeks to months with full-time use. Depending on how much and what you record. On rainy or humid days, it is good to put the wildlife camera inside, open for a day every now and then to let all the moisture evaporate.

Card issues or PIR damage due to dropping; unconnect from the app to resolve; address card issues or replace damaged PIR; ensure the camera is not connected to the app when used independently.

Recording Duration Is Longer Than the Set Duration

Low battery level necessitates changing to a new battery or power source.

The Lens Is Moist/In Water

Problem/Reason/Solution:

Outdoor Installation Issues: Incorrect installation with unlocked buckles, unsecured waterproof plugs, or horizontal placement; Ensure secure vertical installation, use waterproof plugs correctly, secure to a tree, and allow drying if moisture is present.

Photos Do Not Capture the Subject of Interest

Problem/Reason/Solution:

Unwanted Captures Due to Motion or High Heat: Relocate the camera to an area without motion issues, reset settings to factory settings and format the SD card; contact customer service if problems persist.

Battery Life Is Shorter Than Expected

Problem/Reason/Solution:

Battery life varies with temperature and image capture frequency; ensure use of new alkaline batteries and proper power switch position (ON, not TEST modes).

Camera Won't Take Images

Problem/Reason/Solution:

Ensure SD card is not full, batteries are new alkaline, power switch is ON (not OFF or TEST), SD card write protect switch is not locked, and consider formatting the card if used in another device before.

Camera Won't Power Up

Problem/Reason/Solution:

Ensure installation of a full set of 4 batteries in correct position with proper polarity; verify switch positioning from OFF to TEST or ON ensuring correct mode; avoid direct switch movement from ON to TEST, always move from OFF to TEST.

Still Photo and/or Video Quality Problems

Problem/Reason/Solution:

Night photos or videos appear too dark due to various factors such as battery power, flash range, and camera settings; daytime photos or videos appear too dark if aimed at the sun or other light sources; night photos may appear too bright at closer distances; daytime photos may appear too bright if aimed at the sun or other light sources; photos may have streaked subjects due to low lighting conditions and resolution settings; short video clips may not record to the set length due to full SD card or low battery.

Date/Time Stamp Not Appearing on Images

Ensure it is set to 'On' to display timestamps in images.

PIR Sensor LED Flashes/Doesn't Flash

Problem/Reason/Solution:

In TEST mode, the LED flashes to indicate motion detection for setup; during use, the LED remains off to maintain camera concealment from game.

Camera Won't Retain Settings

Problem/Reason/Solution:

Make sure that you have been saving the changes to any parameter settings that you made while in Setup mode by pressing OK after changing the setting.
